FULL ARMOUR OF GOD

Ephesians 6:10-18
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

WATER BAPTISM

This past Sunday will be the most memorable day of my life. July 21, 2013 is the day that I got baptized. Full water immersion. I started the day getting ready. Played my worship music. Opened the good book & did some scripture reading. I was drawn to these particular ones:

"Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection. Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin. Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. " (Romans 6:4-11).

"But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 6:22-23).

JESUS SETS AN EXAMPLE:

"Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him. But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me? And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him. And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased" (Matthew 3:13-17).

Christ set us a perfect example and then also instructed us to go and baptize others! Paul and the apostles and the others continued to do baptism well into the book of Acts and other books ~ The New Testament Scriptures are VERY CLEAR that Christ Commanded Water Baptism.

"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in THE NAME of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen" (Matthew 28:19-20).

I encourage you to obey GOD and repent and then immediately be Baptized in full immersion in water and receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost. Just because you don't speak in tongues doesn't mean you did not receive it. Ask, Accept and Believe and move forward. You don't have to ask again every week or month. Ask and receive and believe that you received it. If you received it, you will notice a change in your life as The Holy Ghost teaches you the Scriptures & opens your Understanding.

"He that believeth AND IS BAPTIZED shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned" (Mark 16:16 ).

I will say to you, that those that are preaching & teaching AGAINST water baptism are anti-Christ & you should avoid them at all cost!!! They are wolves in sheeps clothing. They are very very dangerous!!!

Repent and be baptized!

I would like to thank my cousin, Peter Dunsford, for coming down the lake with me. God Bless you, my dear cousin. My other cousins Peter Rodney & Chris Kakegamic (an' wives) were also present.

It was such a great experience. I felt so wonderful. As I was walking down into the lake, I was being guided by, one of my best friends, Perry. I was placed in the hands of Wilfred Moar & Joshua Woodhouse. So, many people came to witness this glorious event. The visitors for the tent meeting, elders and even my Chief :D

As I prepared myself to go under the water, I closed my eyes & thanked God the Father for bringing me to this particular point in my life. I was ecstatic! All of a sudden Wilfred proclaimed in a loud voice "Lisa Morrisseau, I baptize you in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost!" and then I was immersed.

I remember being underwater, being shocked (electrified). LOL. I came up "YAY" Praising! I was so happy! Everyone was shouting, praising, clapping their hands! WOW.  Everyone came to shake my hand, give kisses & give hugs. It was indeed, a great day to be baptized!!
